Sparking and nurturing a sense of wonder in children of all ages so they can connect more deeply and passionately with the natural world and treasure its gifts
After 30+ years as an Information Technology professional, educator, and non-profit Board member, I started my second career as a nature photographer in 2021.
My work is inspired by my training as a Texas Master Naturalist, a passion for the natural world, and by Rachel Carson’s book The Sense of Wonder. A sense of wonder, she wrote:
“…so indestructible that it would last throughout life, as an unfailing antidote against the boredom and disenchantments of later years, the sterile preoccupation with things that are artificial, the alienation from the sources of our strength”
My photography explores my own sense of wonder and hopefully can inspire others to find and nurture their sense of wonder as well.
